Al Downing is the pitcher who pitched the pitch that Hank hit the home run off of. This video shows Al Downing talk about the home run. People in the crowd cheered and there was fireworks. there were photographers. it said Hank Aaron 715 Babe Ruth 714. Al downing pitched for the Dodgers from 1971 to 1977 and Hank Aaron played for the Braves from 1954 to 1974. This video shows him making history.
